About Mimosa Nursery
Located at 6270 Allston St, Los Angeles, CA 90022, Mimosa Nursery operates as a plant nursery serving Los Angeles in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as garden center, greenhouse, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
In Los Angeles, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in California, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8 amβ4 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Mimosa Nursery at (323) 722-4543; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, mimosala.com.
Its Google rating is 3.8 out of 5 from 94 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Los Angeles is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I ordered two Clivia miniata plants from Mimosa Nursery in Los Angeles, California. The next day I received notice that my plants had been shipped. Two days later I received two separately packaged, gorgeous plants. I was thrilled to have received such tall, full, and healthy plants. Mimosa Nursery shipped these plants by USPS Priority Mail. Each plant was firmly secured within the their shipping box. Each box was labeled as βFragileβThis Side Upβ. Each plant arrived in perfect condition. It is obvious that these Clivia miniata plants have received care and attention by very knowledgeable folks. Thank you Mimosa Nursery. This has been my best online plant purchase experience by far. My order and my plants were handled promptly, carefully, and professionally. Mimosa Nursery is the best!

I have been to Mimosa tropical fruit nursery a few times in my life when I travel to Southern CA. They had a 40 percent sale on July 4th weekend. I bought a black sopate, longon 7 gallon with a few fruits attached on the tree. I bought a Red Ruby supreme guava tree. I am so into tropical fruit trees for years. The owner is Vietnamese. They have a steady business. There's people bought a few mature fruit trees. They drove a white van. I didn't think about it. I should have rented a mid size SUV instead of a Toyota corolla. I wasn't thinking when I reserve the car a month in advance. I know better now and I rent an SUV for September. I want to get a grafted Keitt mango tree. I saw it at another fruit nursery in Vista. I have a wish list on getting a few fruit trees. I wish I have a house in Southern California. Then I don't have to bother my friends when I travel over there. Oh well...

The elderly Asian gentleman who was there was rude to me. Yelled at me when I asked him if they had what I was looking for. First time coming here. Felt like he didn't want my business. Very weird interaction.

Over the weekend, I visited Mimosa Nursery to pick up some fruit plants. Tom, one of the staff members, was incredibly helpful he assisted me in selecting four plants from my wishlist and shared some great knowledge along the way... I will be back for more... it better to go in person than to buy online as I like to pick which plant in healthy and strong

I ordered a Carrie Mango online. It arrived in bad shape around 2 weeks ago. The plant is dying. I have sent 5 emails with photos attached and made 2 calls (Mr Hao tells me to send an email). I have not received a reply to any of the emails. They don't seem to be concerned, that they have taken my money and not even responded. I have no idea what to do... Is there a way I can get my money back or can they send me a replacement Mango??? I have attached a few of the pics taken.
